The boys were having a tough time getting along today and Tyson and I heard a lot of screaming in the other room. Emmett came running in shortly after and said, "Mom, I heard the Holy Ghost. He whispered in my ear." Tyson asked him what he said. Emmett replied, "He told me to not make my my brother sad." I'm pretty sure I saw a glisten in Tyson's eyes. Then the screaming started again.
We blessed Lydia on Mother's Day. I couldn't help but feel like the luckiest girl in the world. We had such a great weekend. On Saturday night, we watched both Olivia (Gook) and Zach (Francis) get baptized. Luckily for us, it just happened to be at the same stake baptism. The next morning we blessed Lydia, Emmett sang with the primary, and Tyson gave a lovely talk in our sacrament meeting. After that, we raced over to Ada's ward to watch her little Sawyer get blessed too.
I thought it might be a good day to get some family pictures.
I am so in love with this girl's hair. I have a feeling it might stick straight up like Emmett's. Maybe she'll have some great volume when it's long?
We sure love spending time with our families. Some of us really connected with each other...
some of us connected to the internet...
and some of us wished that others of us were a little less connected... Alison, are you feeling a little awkward?
The blessed babies!
Dad's birthday was on April 30. He was supposed to be with Mom in Seattle to help Abby as she was ready to have baby Lola but he came home after they hit a deer on the way and Mom continued on the train. Ada and I decided a last minute birthday was in store for this old man!
It was a team effort to get those candles blown out!
On April 15, Lydia Doreen joined the Leavitt family. She was 7'7 and 21 inches long, with a little bit of dark hair. We couldn't be happier! It was my easiest labour, delivery and recovery yet.
Bring it on!
These first cries were a relief as she had the cord around her neck at birth.
Looking just like Emmett and Mom already!
One of the first things I said was, "She's pretty!" A word I haven't been able to use with my other two.
Grandma brought the boys right up to see "Baby Wydia". They were racing my wheelchair down the hallway to see her.
"Cheese!"
Miles thinks her name is "Cute". I understand the confusion!
Emmett told his Sunbeam teachers that when he grows up his cousins are going to want to date Baby Wydia and he will have to protect her. I had to explain to them that he doesn't quite understand the difference between cousins and friends yet.
So much love from her big brothers!
Family of five! Am I crazy or what?
Emmett was copying the nurse who was trying to show him how to smile.
First bath!
We went home the next morning and welcomed a few visitors. Grandpa Dallen held Lydia while Grandma Stacy watched from across the room. She was sick.
Grandpa Pat was also sick so Granny Shirley came with the boys, who were staying at their house.
